TOYNIVERSE.
We were down at Toy Tokyo a few days ago, doing a shoot with the owner Lev for Stay True Vol 2. Toy Tokyo is one of the stores that helped usher in the designer toys scene in NYC. Lev the owner has been collecting toys for years and has a long history with the scene. We got a really good interview with him and had a rare opportunity to film his private collection, which is not something he shares freely. I don’t even think his private collection has ever been captured on film…he has one of the best collections of toy art around, it’s like a private toy museum…you have to see it! Definitely something you want to look forward to on Vol 2! I took pictures of some toys in the store and you can check them out below. I wanted to take pictures of his private collection but we weren’t allowed to, we could only get it on film which is even better…so Stay True Vol 2 is already a classic in the making!

Can’t believe we missed this! ToyBreak did a great review of our Stay True video magazine on their 100th episode! It starts at about 31:24 mins into the video. Congrats to the Toybreak crew (George & Ayleen) on episode 100! Wow, such an achievement. We wish them many more years of continued success. Thanks guys!

STAY TRUE DVD – VOL 1 – AVAILABLE TOMORROW.
Yes, finally! Vol 1 of our Stay True video magazine will be available tomorrow (10/20). Don’t forget, the first 150 copies will come with a limited edition print by acclaimed artist Sket-One. All the prints are hand signed and numbered by Sket-One himself. This is definitely a dvd that you must see! The first volume in a series of issues we will be releasing. LIMITED STAY TRUE PRINT BY SKET-ONE.
If you’ve read the info on our Stay True video magazine that will be dropping soon, then you’ll know the 1st 150 copies sold will be coming with a limited art print by respected artist/toy designer Sket-One. Sket-One is an individual that needs no introduction. His name is one that’s very well known on the graffiti scene & designer toy industry, and he’s a very accomplished illustrator who’s done work for a lot of big companies. His work and toys are collected by many people worldwide, even celebrities (won’t name drop anybody) and he was one of the first artists to customize a dunny for Kidrobot.
For the Stay True limited print, Sket hooked us up with this crazy dope print of his character – Ripple. Pardon my language, but the print is f*cking sick! I’m almost tempted to just keep all 150 prints! Just kidding, won’t do that to you folks but you better make sure you are one of the 1st 150 people that gets their hands on a copy of the dvd. The prints will also be individually numbered from 1 – 150 and will be the only one of its kind. Yes, you get a chance to own a piece of rare art.

STAY TRUE DVD – VOL 1 TRAILER.
If you’ve been following our brand for a while, then you’ll know that we’ve been talking about a secret video project we’ve been working on and also seen pictures from some of the shoots. Well, it’s time to let the cat out of the bag. The video project we’ve been working on is a video magazine called Stay True. Yes, it’s based on the motto of our brand – Stay True. The Stay True dvd is a video magazine about art, designer toys, music, fashion, culture and more. The DVD features video interviews with people who are staying true to themselves and doing what they love. Regardless of popular opinion or what’s “hot” at the moment, enjoying what you do is one of the most important things in life and that’s the hidden message behind our video magazine.
Volume 1 features interviews with people in various fields from music to toys to fashion to art etc. The individuals interviewed are Sket-One, Dave Cortes, Tara McPherson, KaNo, Ali Vegas, Emilio Rojas, Shinobi Ninja, Vincent Yu (My Plastic Heart), Byron Velasquez, Pesu, TooFly, Kerri (Goodwood), Jared Deal, Teddy King (King Stampede/Boundless) and Peter Kato (Art Curator).
We’re really excited about finally dropping this DVD to the public. It took a lot of work for us to be able to make this happen and we can’t wait for you folks to check it out. It’s definitely a dope DVD and things will only get bigger and better with Vol 2 and on. The DVD will be available in October 2009 and we will announce the exact date soon.
You will definitely need to get your hands on a copy of Stay True Vol. 1! The first 150 dvds sold will also come with a limited art print by Sket-One. Stay tuned for drop date!
