Our extended family over at the art collective UR New York were recently asked to paint the window display of the POWERHOUSE ARENA, a laboratory for creative thought, and premier venue for exhibitions and installations. Located at 37 Main Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn, the space is brought to you by Mighty Tanaka Gallery located 68 Jay St. Suite 416 also in DUMBO, Brooklyn. You can view their art work which is on exhibition at both locations but in the meantime, check out the video below…and peep the homie 2esae rocking this hat. Much love to our UR fam.

2011.
Happy New Year! Wow, 2011…seems like only yesterday when we got into 2010. 2010 was an amazing year for the brand. We launched our very first mobile shop (and became the talk of the town and world), kicked off ToyStreet, got featured on MTV SuckerFree and Entrepreneur magazine, saw our following get even bigger on a global scale with over 20,000+ people visiting our site on the regular, did a bunch of exclusive designer toy collaborations and so many other wonderful things that I can’t seem to remember right now but you can always see by going through our 2010 site archives below. It was truly an incredible 2010 for us and to think that we’ve accomplished all of this in only 2 years. Thanks to everyone that is continually supporting the brand and we couldn’t have gotten this far without all of you.
2011 is going to be an even bigger year for the brand. We have plenty of things lined up as well as great expansion plans. As is our tradition, we will continue to try new things and challenge the norm as we grow. We still refuse to sell to retail stores (turned down over 35+ stores now) and the only way you will get our apparel is through us – mobile shop and/or online shop. The brand will only get even bigger from here on out but it will be done our way. You folks definitely have a lot of cool things to look forward to from us and we can’t wait to show the world all the creative madness we’ve been working on. Thanks again for all the support and continue to spread the word about us. Hope you had a great 2010 and may your 2011 be even better as well.

What’s up folks. Sorry for the lack of frequent blog updates within the last couple of weeks, took a quick vacation and there wasn’t much access to a computer where I was so things didn’t really work out as planned to where the site could be updated daily like we usually do. THE COOKBOOK – VOL 1.
We’re happy to present to you our very first brand mixtape – The Cookbook – Vol 1. It’s been something we’ve been wanting to release for a while but due to how busy we’ve been with the brand, it got delayed. The Cookbook is a mixtape inspired by some of the music we listen to. It was mixed by our very own Dj Jon Blak and is an incredible mix of different music genres meshed to create one amazing piece of art. It initially started out as a mix just for us to play at the mobile shop, but we had so many people asking for a copy of it that we decided to release it as a free mixtape. Best way to describe the mix is Baltimore club meets House music meets Sped up dancehall meets Electro meets Funky house meets New wave. It’s a dope mixtape that will have you rocking from the very first track to the last. Cover is below as well as track listing. Download it here. Enjoy.

Thanks to everybody that stopped by the mobile shop over the weekend. We’ll be putting up some of the pictures we took soon. Also, we’re getting ready to drop our 1st brand mixtape titled The Cookbook this week. It’s a free mixtape mixed by Jon for the brand. Lots of people have heard us playing it from the mobile shop and have asked to get a copy, so stay tuned to the site for the free download link. It’s a really dope mixtape and we’re super excited to let the rest of the world hear it. Keep checking the site for the drop day and/or follow us on twitter where we’ll announce it as well.

It’s actually the same folks in this picture, I just took it from both sides. Kind of like seeing both sides of a double sided mirror at the same time…or something like that. Came out pretty cool though.
