C -N- C BOYS.
This past weekend, we got a chance to do a photo shoot of all three brand partners and our mobile truck. We’ve been wanting to get this done for a while but have been so busy that it’s been impossible to do so. We finally did. All the pictures were shot in Brooklyn (as if we would do it anywhere else) by our friend – Rio Suzuki. We haven’t received all the pics back yet from Rio but he sent over this one pic as a teaser. For those who still don’t know who exactly we are, meet the Cookies -N- Cream brand founders – Scrills (left), DJ Jon Blak (middle), P (right). 3 good friends having fun building one of the best brands in the world.
We’ll throw up some more pics when Rio sends them all.

SUMMER 2010 COLLECTION (PART 1).
We’re happy to announce the release of Part 1 of our Summer 2010 Collection. For Part 1, our focus was on creating simple pieces with black & white as the recurring motif. While we added a dash of color to a couple of pieces, our goal was to convey certain ideas/thoughts that have always surrounded the brand or crossed our mind at one point. We’ve always looked at apparel as another platform that allows us to express ourselves and this collection is a continuation of that mind frame.
The collection consists of 4 pieces for Guys and 1 piece for Girls (though some of the guys pieces are available in sizes that are unisex)
Guys: Girls & Money tee, Runs Deep tee, Proud New Yorker tee, Logo Classic tee (available in round neck, v-neck and tank)
Girls: Eat My Cookies (Tank and V-Neck)
The collection is now available at our online shop and will also be available from our mobile shop.
Stay tuned for the Part 2 of our Summer collection. Some pretty cool stuff to look forward to.

RUNS DEEP.
Our Summer 2010 collection (Part 1) will soon be available online. The collection is currently only available exclusively from our mobile store, but we’re preparing to have them all available online this week. Stay tuned to the site to pick up yours because these have been selling pretty fast from our mobile. Here’s a look at one of the tees from the collection. This is the Runs Deep tee and most of you will probably recognize it from our trademark phrase that we always use here and everywhere else – The Cookies Mob runs deep.
You might have wondered or still wondering what “The Cookies Mob runs deep” means? Well, it’s a phrase we use to represent everyone that’s shown support to us in any type of way. It also represents all creative people who are chasing their dreams and doing what they love. The Cookies Mob are all of these folks and the Runs Deep part means there’s lots of folks with this same mind frame. One of progression.
Check out the Runs Deep tee below and look out for the full collection dropping this week.

TUTTZ – EXCLUSIVE GOLD EDITION.
Cookies -N- Cream x ARGONAUT RESINS – TUTTZ (EXCLUSIVE GOLD EDITION)
We are super excited to announce our collaboration with respected toy sculptor/artist – Eric Nocella Diaz (END) of Argonaut Resins on an exclusive gold version of END’s Tuttz character. The pieces will be available in a drop of 2 waves (6 pieces per wave). Wave 1 will be sold exclusively through the Cookies -N- Cream mobile store on Saturday – June 19th, 2010 at 10:00am EST. The mobile shop will be parked at the corner of Prince street & Broadway street in the Soho section of New York City. You can follow the mobile shop on Twitter @TheCookiesMob to stay up to date on availability information. Wave 1 will include 3 gold version Tuttz and 3 chase figures (2 Tints, 1 Lemonade Jade). All the pieces will be sold as blind boxes. Eric made all of these pieces by hand himself, so these are all truly collector’s pieces. Each Tuttz will come with a Certificate of Authenticity with Eric’s signature and a mini story card. Price is $55.
Who is Tuttz…? The Egyptian King Tutankhamun had a favorite cat entombed with him on the day of his demise. Unbeknownst to the world was that this particular cat drank the King’s immortality elixir. Modern day archeologists were quite surprised to find a empty sarcophagus next to King Tut in the shape of a…cat. When the ancient hieroglyphics on this small sarcophagus were translated – the name inscribed was Tuttz…Rumor has it King Tut named this cat after a pet chameleon he was given as a gift because it too could change colors.
Tuttz is the brainchild of toy sculptor/artist Eric Nocella Diaz (END). In a world where everything is being made by machines, Eric is one of the few people that still believes in creating art by your own hands. He has been sculpting toy prototypes, action figures, maquettes and statues professionally for over 15 years, and has worked on high profile projects with major toy companies such as ToyBiz, Marvel, Mcfarlane Toys, ToysRus, Hasbro, Kidrobot, Art Asylum and Ka-Ching Brands. Some of the licensed projects he has worked on for those companies range from the award winning Beatles Yellow Submarine toy line, E.T., Preschool Spiderman, Lord Of The Rings, Classic Avengers, Japanese Anime FLCL, Huck Gee SkullHeads to the Video Game Award crowned monkey trophy for Spike TV. He is also a co-publisher, art director and editor of independent comicbooks through Xmoor Studios as well as a producer of popular high end designer resin figurines through his company Argonaut Resins. You can find out more about Eric here.
You’ve got all the info. We’ll see you at 10:00am on Saturday.

FUNTASTIC.
Yesterday was a fun day riding in the mobile. Pretty much, we have fun every time we ride around in it. All the folks that stop to chat, all the folks buying stuff from us, all the folks taking pictures etc Thanks to everyone for the love.
I know some people came to the site to buy some of the stuff we have on the truck, but we haven’t listed them up here yet. All the stuff we’re offering through our mobile store is still being sold exclusively through there. We’ll be putting them up on our web store soon but in the meantime if you see something you like from the mobile, I would suggest you buy it then. We’ve been selling out of items pretty quickly so if you see it and like it, then get it at that moment.
We’ll be bringing out the mobile again next wknd and don’t forget to follow us on twitter to see where the mobile will be/what’s going on with the brand or for any sales we might have. With that said, I’ll leave you folks with some pictures of our friends that stopped by the truck yesterday – Jasmine Solano and Sandflower Dyson. They’re both recording artists and wonderful people. Jasmine is also a really dope dj. We had so much fun in the few minutes they spent with us. Thanks ladies!

OUR MOBILE STORE.
It’s with the utmost pleasure that we announce the launch of the Cookies -n- Cream mobile store! The Cookies -n- Cream mobile store is something we’ve been working on for a while (a year to be exact) and we’re super happy to finally be able to have it hit the streets!
The idea for the truck started with a brainstorm session between the brand founders (Ganiu “Scrills” Ladejobi, Johnathan “Jon Blak” Sinclair, Peterson “P” Lochard) on how to differentiate ourselves as a business rather than just based on products, in a creative way that would also allow us to connect with the public. One thing that’s always been important to us is being able to sell our items directly to the world as opposed to the retail norm of finding as many stores as possible to carry your products. We wanted to not only allow people to connect with us based on our products but also in the way they received our products/brand. Basically, we wanted to challenge ourselves to do more creatively with the growth of our brand.
It took us about a year and lots of hard work to get the mobile ready. Everything was self financed by the brand founders. No loans, no rich relative, no parents/trust fund, nothing…just the relentless drive of ours to see the truck come to life. The artwork for the truck was done by our good friend, French artist – Skwak who we released a collection of t-shirts with a while back. Having developed a great relationship with Skwak, when the time came for us to figure out the artwork for the body, it was a no brainer to have Skwak do it and the result is better than what we could have ever imagined.
Being that we’re from and based in New York City, the mobile store will be cruising the streets here but we’re planning to do road trips in the near future so we”ll hopefully be able to bring it to places outside of New York. If you happen to see the truck, feel free to stop by and chat with us. We love to interact with people and the mobile store allows us to do that on a very grassroots level which is something that we enjoy. Thanks to everyone for all their support. Our brand has been growing at a great pace as more folks find out about us daily and we’re selling out of products a lot quicker. Thank you.
We hope to see you around and you can follow the truck/brand on twitter @TheCookiesMob.
Cheers!

This Friday, ILL Banger is going down again!…and we’re also having a soft opening for our mobile store. Yes, you heard right – our mobile store! The mobile store has been something we’ve been working on for a while, about a year or so to be exact. No bank, No rich relative, No loans from anybody, nothing…all financed by us and our hard work. So we’re very excited to let folks check out the store so far. It’s about 90% ready by the time you see it on Friday but the rest of it will be completed as we progress. So from this weekend moving forward, our mobile store will be officially open! You can follow the truck via twitter at twitter.com/TheCookiesMob.

Art Asylum Boston is proud to present “Arsenic”. The first release from prolific NY street/Gallery artists UR New York. This Fine Art Edition consists of Ten(10) original hand done works on 300gsm Fine art paper.
UR New York is a street art collective from New York City. They are best known for appropriating everyday experiences and amplifying them with their unique layering, intricate line work, text-based style & incandescent color palette, reflecting an eclectic artistic tradition. UR New York became just as notorious for their ornate painting techniques as their timeless style: They use paintbrushes mixed with the traditional spray can. Many of their pieces synthesize the line between fine art & graffiti, power & opposition, tradition & advancement. This print will be in a very limited edition of only 10 pieces & is priced at $100.00

SKWAKED.
The artwork below should look familiar. It was done by our good friend – French artist Skwak and it’s one of the designs from the collection of t-shirts we did with him. Funky World, to be exact. We took that design, had Skwak add a few elements to it and are using the design for a really great project from the brand that we’ve been working on for a while. It’s almost ready so look out for news and pictures about that project soon but in the meantime, hold on tight and get ready for some really exciting news from us.

THE STAY TRUE CAMPAIGN.
Celebrity, Role model, Leader, Hero – What do these words mean to us? Absolutely nothing by itself. The true meaning of these words starts to materialize when we can associate it with a particular somebody. As society has evolved, the lines have been blurred on what we consider a celebrity, a role model, leader or a hero. We look up to the wrong people as who want to shape ourselves after. We let society/popular culture dictate what is cool and determine the success meter by which we measure ourselves. Well, to some of us that you may never have heard of, we stand by our own doctrines and refuse to play sheep to what society has established as the “standard”.
Our brand motto – Stay True, is more than just mere words to us. It is something that we live our lives by and guides the Cookies -n- Cream brand. Believing in yourself and doing what you do regardless of popular opinion is important to us. Living in New York City and meeting plenty of individuals in several different industries, we are constantly inspired and amazed by what people are doing. People that have chosen to chase their dreams and believe in themselves when everyone else does not. People that have taken risks that would scare the boldest risk taker, all in the hopes of living out their lives the way that would forever make them happy. People that are always on the grind, hustling 24/7 to make their fantasies a reality. People that are fighting their way through life to get that championship belt they deserve. People that refuse to settle for society’s standard. These are our heroes. These are the people that inspire us.
We felt there was a need to tell the stories of these people in their own words. For these individuals to tell you what Stay True means to them and hopefully inspire you to do what you love. We got together with our friends at Hot Mop Films and launched a video series we are calling “The Stay True Campaign“.
The first video in this series features a talented DJ/Beatmaker based out of Brooklyn NYC called DJ Eht Mills. Mills is a beast on the turntables. A skilled DJ who has also built his own radio station in the basement of his building where he hosts shows with talent that traditional radio has turned a blind eye to due to “industry politics”. An individual who believes in himself and is creating his own path through life. An individual who refuses to settle. He embodies what Stay True is all about.
Stay True.
Look out for the other videos in this series. Spread the message – Stay True.
