It is really important that we understand how we can help enrich your life through Skuhvr and we would appreciate if you could please take a few minutes to answer the below questions. Thank you.
Last week, we released information on a new web platform we are working on called Skuhvr. The number of folks who signed up right away has been more than we expected and we are very pleased with the interest in Skuhvr. We know that we will be able to provide a service that you will truly enjoy and save you money as well. If you have yet to sign up for Skuhvr, visit the site here to do so and be one of the early Skuhvrers. Cookies -N- Cream products will also be offered on the site at Skuhvr only discounts in addition to all the other great items that will be offered. We’ll be releasing more information on exact launch date soon. As you sign up on the page, please use our one click social sharing buttons to tell your friends about Skuhvr. We appreciate all the help we can get in spreading word about Skuhvr!
Skuhvr? I’m sure you are probably asking what the hell this is about or trying to figure out the proper pronunciation of the word. Your time is valuable and we ask a few minutes of it to connect the dots, and explain how our journey at Cookies -N- Cream has led us to Skuhvr.
Over the years at Cookies -N- Cream, we’ve learned that our greatest strength is in helping people discover stuff. We’re naturally inquisitive, love art, design, collectible toys, culture, music, technology and appreciate alternative culture. Great food is another thing we really enjoy, as we are sure that is something you all enjoy as well. Through our personal lives and Cookies -N- Cream, we have made lots of friends and acquaintances involved in all these different fields, and that has helped make us better individuals. We in turn have been able to introduce plenty of people to all these different things we enjoy and that is something that we ourselves appreciate. As we thought more about our brand, we asked ourselves what the greatest advantage we offer to people was and it became clear to us – DISCOVERY. We were not only introducing people to all these different things we are passionate about through the brand, but were also helping them discover lots of things and places they might not have otherwise known about. It has been something we have done naturally and that is when it hit us. To create a platform that allows us to help people discover all these cool stuff and great food, and if we can help them do it in a way that saves them a lot of money, even better. That is pretty much what has now led us to the birth of Skuhvr, which is derived from the word discover.
Skuhvr is a members only marketplace to discover art, lifestyle products, designer toys, apparel, great food and music. All carefully selected to ensure that only the greatest quality is being offered and all discounted at a Skuhvr only price of about 30% – 70% off the retail price. All the offerings will only be live for about 48 – 72 hours and each offering will have limited quantities. Yes, the model is the same as those of other flash sales sites but there really is no other place like what we have created at Skuhvr. We tried finding places that would allow us to have all these things we were passionate about under one roof but that usually involved having several websites open since each one was specific to one thing. While we love that these other places focused on one thing, we however wanted to solve the problem of having all these things in one place. We believe we are doing something great and look forward to helping you discover plenty of things to enrich your life as well as save you lots of money in the process!
Discovery is a powerful thing. As we discover stuff that makes us happy, we are able to pass on that discovery to make someone else happy as well. It’s a two way process that leaves everyone involved with a much more enjoyable life.
We are working hard at putting the finishing touches to Skuhvr and will appreciate everyone’s support on this journey. Please visit the Skuhvr site to be first to try out the platform and receive early access before the public at large. For those wondering, we will also be offering Cookies -N- Cream pieces through Skuhvr as well in addition to many other collaborations.
We need your help in spreading word about Skuhvr to people who you feel would be interested in this platform and will find Skuhvr useful to them. As you sign up on the Skuhvr page, you will be presented with easy one click buttons to share with your friends via different social networks as well as your own share link.
Thanks again for all your support and we hope that you find Skuhvr as useful to you as it will be for us.
Caught this via the good folks at Wooster Collective. New work form artist Specter in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn titled “Bushwick Bodega”. Pretty solid work. Reminds me of our long sold out Bodega tee we did a while back.
The piece looks pretty realistic. I can only imagine how many folks got fooled into trying to use the ATM in the piece.
Thanks to everybody that stopped by our NYC mobile shop lately, much appreciated. We will continue to say that we have the best brand supporters in the world. Much love to everybody that stopped by our NYC mobile shop recently, much appreciated as always. As per an old tradition of ours, here’s pictures of a few folks that stopped by. Thanks again for the continued support.
We present to you the Cookies -N- Cream Spring/Summer 2012 collection. This season, our collection was influenced by vintage artwork/imagery. We drew inspiration from mid 1900s matchbox artwork, vintage signage and other classic visuals from that era. The artwork from that era are pieces that last forever and become even more interesting to see with the passage of time, and those were the things we aimed to capture with this collection. We are very happy with the way the pieces came together and know we achieved what we wanted to – timeless designs that will you will be able to wear for years and years to come.
All the pieces are now available via our online shop, mobile shop as well as select retailers.
One of the greatest documentaries you will ever see. Open your mind and enjoy. I know the video is about an hour long but this is truly something that everyone should see.
Future by Design
This biographical documentary by William Gazecki plunges into the mind and thought processes of industrial engineer and architectural designer Jacque Fresco, a man known for promulgating futuristic building designs and societal utopias based exclusively on environmental concerns and education. The program visualizes many of Fresco’s concepts, courtesy of onscreen illustrations by Star Trek animator Doug Drexler.
As we mentioned in the past, we’ll occasionally post some of the brand support email messages we get here. We get quite a good amount and are very thankful for the support from everyone. You folks definitely make it all worth it for us and we truly appreciate that.
Here’s a recent message we got from someone in New York named Collin:
“My name is Collin and I am from new york. I am a big supporter of your brand and try to visit the truck every time I am in Soho. I bought all the shirts that were available on the truck and I was wondering when you guys will come out with new products. I really love your brand and I hope you guys continue to make dope designs.”

For our Summer 2011 collection titled “Popular is Popular”, we released the Basquiat Dollar tee as part of the drop. The reception was incredible and we quickly sold out on these. Probably one of the best designs we’ve ever released in my opinion. While we don’t tend to show the beginning stages for our designs, I’m so drawn to this particular design that I wanted to share the artwork we created and started with before the final version you see on the tee. The idea was to create something we can relate to based on Robert Dowd‘s iconic Van Gogh dollar. It was a no brainer for us to do it based on Basquiat. His work and what he represented as well as where he was from all spoke to us the most. We started with the below but then worked it to the final version you see on the tee. Really enjoyed working on this one. We are actually contemplating releasing these as a limited run of art prints so look out for them if we do. It will look amazing on any wall.
Props to our in house designer – Jimmy P for bringing the vision to life perfectly.
Just in time for Fall and the festive spirit during this period of the year, we’re happy to present the Cookies -N- Cream Fall/Holiday 2011 collection. This season, we had a loose theme surrounding the collection. The focus was more on capturing a state of mind while continuing to ensure that we release quality pieces. Each piece embodies a vibe we felt while creating the collection. The pieces are: Select Few crewnecks (Black, Gray and Burgundy), Wild Life tee (Black, Navy Blue) and the Toy Plane tee. All solid garments that you can enjoy. The pieces are now available via our online and mobile shops as well as through our new select retailers initiative.

Probably one of the only times you will see both our current mobile shops together. New York mobile shop in the back and the LA mobile in the front. Shot in Brooklyn, NYC before the LA mobile made it’s way out to Cali.
As mentioned in the past, we will occasionally post an email from the plenty of emails we get showing support for the brand. Here’s one from a new supporter – Bryann from Florida. Thanks for the email and support, much appreciated.
Hey,
My name is Bryann and I live down in the Sunshine State. Just stumbled onto your brand recently but already am a huge fan and would really like to spread the word so just let me know if you guys are interested.

Check out a few pictures of some folks that stopped by recently below as well as random shenanigans at the shop.
Jon (Who is a DJ for those who don’t know) was spinning music from his Ipad via some DJ application. Cool app, does a decent job though the song transition on the app could be a little more seamless….and can someone tell Jon to wipe the face of his Ipad?
Jon stops spinning music at the mobile shop to do a quick interview….he’s living the life huh?
Family affair.
