STAY TRUE: BYRON VELASQUEZ.
Meet Byron Velasquez – an amazing artist from NYC. Byron is a talented artist (tattoos and painting) who we found out about through our boy – Frankie Velez. We rolled through to Byron’s tattoo shop – Abstract Black NYC in the LES (Lower East Side for non New Yorkers) and did a shoot with him for our Stay True Project. It was a pretty good shoot and definitely look out for great things from Byron. What I love most about his work is the “culture” that exudes from his pieces. Whether it’s his heritage (Ecuadorian) or from his travels, he’s able to create pieces that are bold, colorful and show that cultural influence. Check out pics from the shoot below. We’ll also be working with Byron on a project of ours that’s still in the works but let’s just say it has to do with KITO. That’s all you get for now.
